[About the Gulf War] In August 1990, Iraq invaded its neighbor Kuwait. January the following year the United Nations forces led by America began bombing strategic areas. Two months later, Iraqi military forces fled Kuwait and on March 3, under a cease fire agreement the war was over. [About the Uniforms] In the early 1980's, the U.S. Military forces were equipped with BDU camouflage field uniforms. One of these uniforms was highly permeable sand colored DBDU (Desert Battle Dress Uniform) or otherwise called the chocolate-chip pattern because the black and white flecks resembled a chocolate chip cookie. |
