1/6 Big Scale Motorcycle Series No.20

1/6 SCALE Honda CB750F

Length: 380 mm. Image shows painted and assembled kit.

An almost instantaneous hit after its release in 1979, the Honda CB750F quickly became a leading light in the field of 750 cc class motorcycles. The 748cc four-stroke inline-four engine leaned heavily on Honda’s experience with the RCB endurance racer, and featured a DOHC design with four valves to each cylinder, with an overall output of 68 hp; it was easy on the eye, too, with its distinctive cooling fins. Braking was taken care of with dual front discs and a single rear disc, and the aesthetics were based around the “floating line” concept, with the cowlings flowing from the fuel tank back toward the tail cowl: in terms of styling, it was truly a game-changer among Japanese motorcycles. The CB750F underwent a minor change in April 1981 that saw updates to the engine and suspension, assuring its owners of an even smoother ride that only served to further boost its popularity. Many of its concepts were inherited by the CB1000F, which was released in 2025.
