1/24 RENAULT 5 TURBO RALLY

The Renault 5 Turbo was a special version of the inimitable 5, developed for rally races. With a 1.4-liter inline-4 turbo engine in place of the rear seats the Turbo had a midship setup and was equipped with reinforced 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension. Its 3-door hatchback body used lightweight aluminum and plastic panels across the board, and with bulging overfenders, integrated bumper air dam skirts and a roof spoiler, its appearance was a significant departure from the original Renault 5. The works car won the first global rally of 1981 and was a familiar sight near the top of timesheets thereafter.

About the Model
This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 156mm, width: 74mm, height: 57mm. ★The sporty form with bulging fenders and rear spoiler, plus quad spotlights and roll cage is captured in style. ★Driver and navigator figures are also included. ★A realistic depiction of the torsion bar front suspension adds life to the underside of the model. ★Slick tires are solid synthetic rubber. ★Decals on the included sheet depict sponsor logos, number, rear windshield lines and more.

Modifications such as the bulging fenders, roof spoiler and expanded muffler end are captured in style.
Quad spotlights add real character to the front of the car. Headlamps and radiator grille are separate parts.
A roll cage was fitted in place of the back seats. Driver and navigator figures are also included.
Decals are included to recreate sponsor logos. Use a cutout from the instruction manual to make the navigator's pace notes.

Wheels are metal-plated parts. The air intakes on the rear fenders were designed to cool the engine, radiator and intercoolers.
The included decal sheet recreates sponsors, crew names and more.
