The Nissan Leopard was released as a personal luxury car in September 1980; the 280X SF-L was its highest-grade model. The pioneering and distinctive two-door hardtop body featured excellent aerodynamic performance. It was powered by the inline-six L28E engine capable of 145hp and had 5-speed manual and 3-speed automatic transmission options. The suspension featured an auto-leveling system for the rear; the interior was also packed with luxury accessories like leather seats, an onboard drive computer with 6 functions, cruise control and automated climate control, which were standard attachments for the 280X SF-L. Fully packed with the newest technologies, this vehicle is known as a pioneer of Japanese personal luxury cars.


About the Model
This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 193 mm, width: 75 mm, height: 56 mm. ★The angular two-door hardtop body is captured in style. ★Faithful depictions of the luxurious interior, chassis underside and suspension. ★Features a moveable sunroof; making the model interactive even after assembly. ★Metal-plated wheels are paired with synthetic rubber tires for realistic feel. ★Decals are included for the name logo, and metal transfers for interior and fender mirrors. A driver figure adds some extra life to the model.


  • Realistic depiction of the angular hardtop body with an excellent aerodynamic coefficient of 0.37. Wheels and exhaust tip are recreated with metal-plated parts.


  • The sunroof can be opened and closed even after assembly. The realistic interior has depictions of instrument panel and luxurious leather seats.


  • Recreation of fender mirrors which were the first ever to have their own mirror wipers. Mirror surfaces use metal transfers.


  • The rear features a large windshield. The kit has two choices (standard and option) for the name logo on the rear.


  • Three body color choices are introduced in the instruction manual: (A) wine red metallic & silver metallic, (B) wine red metallic or (C) white.


  • Decals are used to recreate the name logo, emblem, instrument panel and stripe patterns on the body. Metal transfers are also used for mirrors.
