Length: 157mm. Image shows assembled and painted kit.
This is an assembly kit of the Shikinami, which, after taking part in over 10 resupply missions to Guadalcanal, as well as actions such as the Battle of Sunda Strait and Battle of the Eastern Solomons, finally succumbed to U.S. submarine attack in September 1944. She was the second Type II "Special Type" destroyer and the model depicts the ship as she appeared with additional AA armament. Details such as the funnel, searchlights, and masts are also sharply reproduced. Modellers can also enjoy using parts from her sister ship Ayanami to backdate the ship to when she was first launched.
