1/35 Prehistoric World Series No.4

1/35 PTERANODON

Length: 115mm. Image shows assembled and painted kit.
*This kit and its materials were designed in 1981.

Dinosaurs and pterosaurs dominated the Earth during the Mesozoic Era, and the winged Pteranodon was a type of pterosaur that lived towards the end of the Cretaceous period (around 85 million years ago). While its wingspan was six to eight meters it only weighed around 20 kilograms; a membrane stretched from the fourth finger on their hand and enabled them to fly. They would swoop down from the sky to catch their prey, which is believed to have included fish.
