Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Lightning II is a 5th Generation fighter with three main variants including the F-35C, which as a carrier aircraft has larger wings and horizontal stabilizers than other types as well as folding wing tips. It is also recognizable by its launch bar for catapult launches, the arresting hook, and its landing gear reinforced to withstand punishing carrier take-offs and landings. The F-35C looks set to be a core presence in the air arms of the American navy and marines for many years to come.

About the Model
This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit. Fuselage length: 218mm, wingspan: 182mm. ★The low observability form of the F-35C is artfully captured in 1/72 scale, with delicate recreations of raised RAM (Radar Absorbent Material) sections. ★Choose whether to assemble the model with folded or extended wingtips. ★Reinforced landing gear struts are recreated. ★Assemble with canopy open or closed. ★Two AIM-9X air-to-air missiles are included. ★Comes with a pilot figure. ★6 marking options included.

Bigger in the wing and stabilizers than the other variants, and with folding wingtips, the F-35C was designed as a carrier aircraft.
The imposing form of the F-35C is recreated in style.
The subtle and complex fuselage curvature is recreated with accuracy. RAM (Radar Absorbent Material) coating panels are molded with precision.
Hinges are visible if the model is constructed with folded wingtips, and they show great detail. AIM-9X missiles can be mounted under the wingtips.

Molding the wingtip parts together with the upper fuselage ensures great fit if the model is built with extended wings. Simply cut the sections shown if making it with folded wings.
The flowing form of the 25mm gun pod is captured with aplomb.
The reinforced nose landing gear has launch bar, double wheels and drag brace.
Choose whether to build the model with the canopy open or closed. The cockpit has recreations of the ejection seat, consoles and more.

Used in carrier landings, the arresting hook is depicted stowed away, as it is on the full-size F-35C when parked.
6 marking options include an VFA-147 aircraft from Air Station Iwakuni in Japan, and a colorful VMFA-251 aircraft. Masking stickers for clear parts are included.
